COWS
Cows are domesticated bovine animals. The
cow is one of the most common animals in the world. Males are known as bulls
and adult females that have had a calf are known as cows. Females under 3 years
old are called heifers. A baby cow is called a calf.
Cattle have one stomach with four
compartments. Cattle are ruminants, meaning that they have a digestive system
that allows use of otherwise indigestible foods by regurgitating and re-chewing
them as "cud”. The cud is then re-swallowed and further digested by
specialised microorganism. A cow produces around 200,000 glasses of milk in her
lifetime. Cattle have an acute sense of smell and can smell something up to 6
miles away. The average cows drink about 30 gallons of water and eat
about 95 pound of grass. The cows moved by four legs and they reproduced by
bread their young
